I love Halifax and I love winter, I really do, but having to deal with the sheer incompetence of the municipality every winter is grinding at my last nerve.
This is what the City of Halifax thinks of its residents: a sidewalk in front of a building with hundreds of people living in it that’s been closed to all pedestrian use for going on a-year-and-a-half — this is the second winter — and snow piled up across the street making it too high to climb over.
I guess we’ll all just walk on the street since that’s the only thing this city seems to care about clearing. If there’s an award for being the worst at winter, Halifax would certainly be in the running.
