The first snowfall always seems to catch people off-guard and mostly unprepared.
It’s one of those days I’m happy I walk to work, past all the buses with their crappy “all season” tires failing to either go up or down any kind of hill successfully. Cars in ditches or smashed against guard rails. People who think four-wheel-drive is four-wheel-stop and learning the hard way that it’s not. The municipality who hasn’t even warmed up the plows yet.
My winter boots were warm and comfortable. My coat and sweater were warm and comfortable. I count myself lucky to have been one of the very few laughing my way to work this morning.
