Sunset on Liberty Lake

Sunset on Liberty Lake

Last month a couple of friends and I hiked the Liberty Lake Loop, the longest hike in Kejimkujik National Park. It had been a goal of mine to get to Liberty Lake and camp on its shores. It’s not an easy spot to get to and finally getting there felt really good.

The site itself isn’t much to write about, it’s a little overgrown and seems slightly forgotten but that’s OK. It still felt great to be there. It was a warm, quiet, calm evening on the lake and as the sun went down the clouds moved in providing a little more drama in the sky.

If you’re interested, I wrote more in-depth on the entire hike here.
