Halifax has a reputation for being run by people who don’t walk anywhere, leading to things like sidewalks being closed for ten months and counting. So the scribbled “That means you” by the idiot construction foreman is even funnier because the people who have to deal with this crap have stopped caring. Haligonians are typically polite and follow the rules, but even they, after a while, have given up.
As someone who walks this block on his commute to the office most days I can confirm that very few people heed the plea of the sign.
