These houses on Queen Street in Halifax always make me smile when I walk past them. I wonder how long they’ve got left. They’re a rare splash of colour in our ever-increasingly drab downtown. There’s so much new construction downtown and I’m happy to see more people living downtown, but the interesting maritime personality of the city’s buildings is almost gone. It’s just the same black/brown/grey buildings going up the last few years.
