A friend and I decided to try our hand at brewing our own beer having done well at making wine ourselves. I had brewed a few batches years ago when I was living out west but hadn’t tried it out here on the east coast.
We decided on a honey brown ale, something with lots of flavour and colour but still drinkable during the warm days of summer. The brewing went well and last night we could finally give the final product a taste test.
I’m happy to report it turned out very well! Nice rich brown colour, a nice ale flavour reminiscent of the finest English brown ales with a very subtle sweetness. Can’t wait to enjoy more of this over the summer.
