It’s a good thing I took the early flight last Friday to start my holidays. There’s been a major ice storm affecting most of southern Ontario causing power outages, cancelled flights, treacherous roads and a nice thick coating of solid ice over everything. There’s no road salt to be found and it’s taking forever for crews to get out to clear roads and sidewalks. All during on of the busiest and most stressful times of the year. Good times!
Of course, I took the opportunity to take a few snaps. This is the small apple tree in my mom’s backyard. The ice has made a real mess of trees in the area, but so far this one has held on. At least the ice makes for a pretty photo.
