Bollard and rope in fog

Bollard and rope in fog

Here is another from the foggy, plastic camera roll I shot a few weeks back. This is the bollard at the spot where the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic boat-building shed is located on the harbourfront. There’s usually an old guy in a wheelchair there with the crappiest radio you’ve ever heard blasting a local rock radio station.

The bollards along the Halifax harbourfront are a subject in themselves, they vary from pier to pier, some more worn than others. I’m sure this guy gets his top rubbed by a hundred-thousand hands every summer as he sticks out a little onto the main boardwalk and this is usually a high traffic area. The ropes you see are attached to the CSS Acadia, a floating exhibit that’s part of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
