A black-and-white photo of a cascading waterfall, dark rocks and trees surrounding the river and pool at the bottom of the fall.

Laverty Falls, Fundy National Park

As mentioned previously, there are a lot of waterfalls in Funday National Park. Laverty Falls in halfway around the moderately difficult Lavert Falls Trail. The trail itself is only 5 kilometres around but there are some steep parts and some muddy parts so it’s helpful to wear your boots instead of the flip-flops some people were suffering with. It’s a very nice waterfall but not nice enough to destroy your feet for.

We walked around at a fairly decent pace and I brought my tripod knowing it would be a decent photo if I could get the right angle of it. Luckily for us there were no people crawling over the rocks while we were there - yay for hiking after the summer rush — and there was still enough water tumbling over the top to make for a nice dramatic photo.

The hike back to the car was a little more uphill but a very lovely walk through beautiful forest.
