Beech leaves in winter

Beech leaves in winter

Beech trees are sometimes called “ghost trees” because they can hold their dead leaves through the winter. The leaves turn a very light yellow, almost translucent white colour, and shimmer in the winter wind.

This is the first roll of a new film I’m trying. It’s not too bad, perhaps a little grainy. I probably should have shot it without the deep yellow filter on to see it’s “natural” contrast and maybe waited until a sunny day to get a bit more light on it. Overall though, not too bad.
